  • Why do I need to moisturize old and new tattoos?
Moisturizing your tattoo regularly is extremely important. You should moisturize your new, clean tattoo 3 – 4 times per day, for roughly two weeks. When you get a new tattoo, your skin becomes sensitive and itchy as it heals from the trauma caused by the needles. One of the essential factors that will help speed up the healing process is to moisturize your tattoo regularly. The fresh ink needs to stay moisturized to protect it from cracking and bleeding. Moisturizing melanin-rich skin (darker skin): Research shows melanin-rich skin contains lower levels of ceramides; hence it can be more prone to dryness and can take on an ashy appearance when not properly hydrated. When skin lacks the natural substances it needs, skin care can help bridge that gap by replenishing those substances. The Tatted Teacher Tattoo Butter is packed with hydrating ingredients that will moisturize your skin and tattoos and bring them back to life.
  • What are the ingredients of the Tatted Teacher Tattoo Butter?
Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter): helps soften and smooth dry skin. Shea butter also contains substances that reduce skin swelling. Shea butter has soothing and anti-aging properties that may make skin appear smoother and reduce aging. Orbignya Oleifera (Babassu) Oil: has anti-inflammatory properties and is anti-inflammatory when you apply it topically to your skin. That makes this oil a good one even for those who deal with eczema or rosacea. Cera Alba (Yellow) Beeswax: hydrates, conditions, soothes, and calms the skin. It exfoliates, repairs damage, promotes the skin's regeneration, diminishes the appearance of the signs of aging, soothes itchiness and irritation, and creates a hydrating, long-lasting protective barrier against environmental pollutants. Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter: is high in fatty acids and deeply hydrates the skin, as the fats in cocoa butter form a protective barrier to hold in moisture Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (Sunflower): is particularly beneficial for dry, dehydrated, or environmentally compromised skin because its linoleic acid content helps skin synthesize its own lipids (fats), including ceramides, visibly repairing its barrier and leading to smoother, healthier-looking skin. Cetyl Alcohol: is filled with softening effects to prevent skin from being dry, rough, and itchy. Due to these benefits, cetyl alcohol is safe for basically every skin type. Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil: is high in linoleic acid which helps to strengthen the skin's barrier reducing redness and inflammation caused by breakouts. Grapeseed oil contains Vitamin E, an amazing ingredient that reduces inflammation and hydrates the skin to plump fine lines and wrinkles. d-Alpha Tocopherol (Vitamin E): is the most biologically active form of vitamin E. It helps retain moisture to keep your skin looking radiant and healthy. Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract: improves circulation and is slightly antibacterial, promotes skin metabolism and also contains powerful antioxidants. It provides effective care for mature skin, cellulite and poor circulation because of its circulation-promoting effect. Blemished skin can be brought back to balance by rosemary.
